P.R. Sreejesh is an Indian field hockey player and Goalkeeper of the Indian national team. He was a former captain of the Indian national team. He came to the spotlight when he saved two penalty strokes against Pakistan in the final at the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea.
For his impressive performances in goalkeeping, he was awarded as “Goalkeeper of the Tournament” and was also nominated for the award of Best Male Goalkeeper. As of now, he served himself in the Kerala government’s education department as Chief Sports Organiser. He is honored with the Arjuna Award from President Pranab Mukherjee in 2015.
Currently, he hit the headlines as he is a part of the Indian contingent being sent for the Tokyo Olympics 2021.

Career / Fashion And Style
As per his career, he made his debut in the senior national team at the South Asian Games in 2006. He was awarded the ‘Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament’ following India’s win at the 2008 Junior Asia Cup. After saving two penalty strokes in the Asian Champions Trophy Final he has been a regular member since 2011.
At the 2013 Asia Cup, he won his second ‘Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament’ award. He represented India in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, and then World Cup in 2014. He starred in Indian’s gold medal win at the 2014 Asian Games where he saved two penalty strokes against Pakistan in the final.
He was adjudged “Goalkeeper of the Tournament” at the 2014 Champions Trophy and 2018 Champions Trophy. He was nominated for the award of Best Male Goalkeeper for his impressive performances in 2014 but he lost the award to Jaap Stockmann of the Netherlands.
At the 2016 Men’s Hockey Champions Trophy, he was the captain of the team and led the team to win the silver medal. He was given the responsibilities of the Captain of the Indian hockey team on 13 Jul 2016. He led the Indian hockey team to the quarterfinals of the tournament at the 2016 Olympics in Rio.
