She started her career as a model and was one of the participants of Femina Miss India. Next, in 2008, she appeared on the TV Show “Champion”. She played the role of ‘Pupe’ in the TV show “Gaaner Oparey which became very popular.
In 2002, she made her Bengali film debut with the film “Bapi Bari Jaa”. In 2019, she joined the All India Trinamool Congress and contested in the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections from Jadavpur Constituency of West Bengal.
